Organizations are identified differently across jurisdictions, databases and institutional systems. Names change, local registration formats vary, and cross-border datasets frequently describe the same entity in incompatible ways.
GSEIN addresses that fragmentation with a stable identity reference linked to authoritative source provenance, verification state and publication governance.

What GSEIN is — and is not
GSEIN is an interoperability identifier and public registry layer. It is not a substitute for a national company register, tax identifier, licensing authority or legal incorporation record.
Its role is to provide a shared reference that can connect those systems while preserving their own identifiers and legal meaning.
The initiative
GSEIN is an initiative of RAWAAS LLC. The project is being developed as standards-oriented infrastructure for entity identity, public discovery and institutional interoperability.
