1. Privacy Policy

1.1 Scope

GSEIN and Rawaas LLC process information in connection with the website, entity-identification services, contact forms, entity submissions, correction requests, administrative services and related technical systems. GSEIN distinguishes between information about legal or economic entities and personal information about identifiable natural persons.

Public accessibility alone does not mean information may be collected, processed, republished or redistributed without restriction. Applicable source terms, licence conditions, privacy requirements and other legal restrictions are assessed before disclosure or reuse.

1.2 Entity information

GSEIN may process legal name, GSEIN identifier, official registration identifier, jurisdiction, country, city or registered location, entity type, legal form, status, economic activity, website, public identifiers, verification status, source and provenance information, relevant dates and other lawfully available entity-level information.

1.3 Entity-only verification scope

GSEIN is designed to identify and verify legal and economic entities, not individuals. GSEIN verification results are limited to legally authorized entity information necessary for identification and verification.

1.4 Information excluded from verification results

Information outside the legally authorized scope of entity verification is not displayed through GSEIN verification.

1.5–1.11 Sources, purpose, retention, security and rights

Information may come from official business registers, government open-data portals, official APIs or bulk datasets, regulators, international public registries, licensed sources, authorized data providers, the entity itself or an authorized representative. GSEIN records provenance where reasonably practicable and applies data minimization, retention, security and applicable rights-management principles.

2. Terms of Use

2.1–2.2 Acceptance and nature of GSEIN

A GSEIN identifier does not create an entity, confer legal personality, constitute government registration, replace a national registration number, constitute regulatory approval, certify creditworthiness, make an AML or sanctions determination, or by itself prove authorization to conduct a regulated activity.

2.3 Permitted and prohibited use

GSEIN information may support legitimate identification, research, verification, interoperability and compliance-support purposes. Users must not misrepresent GSEIN data as an official government determination, impersonate another entity, alter identifiers misleadingly, circumvent security, disrupt systems, obtain restricted administrative information or use data for unlawful profiling or harassment.

2.4–2.10 Accuracy, source rights, API and governing law

GSEIN seeks reliable and traceable information but cannot guarantee every record is complete, error-free or current at all times. Third-party rights and licence terms remain applicable. Public website access does not automatically grant bulk extraction or commercial exploitation rights. These terms are governed by laws applicable to Rawaas LLC in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, subject to mandatory rights that may apply elsewhere.

3. Data Sources & Licensing Policy

3.1 Principle

GSEIN distinguishes between information that is publicly visible and information that may lawfully be acquired, reused, redistributed or processed. Public accessibility alone is not sufficient evidence of unrestricted reuse rights.

3.2 Source preference

  1. Competent national registration authority
  2. Official government dataset or API
  3. Official open-data platform
  4. Recognized international or regional public registry
  5. Source operating under an appropriate licence or authorization
  6. Entity-supplied information supported by evidence
  7. Supplementary independent sources for verification or conflict detection

3.3–3.7 Source clearance

Before large-scale use for disclosure through GSEIN verification, GSEIN may assess the source authority, licence, terms of use, commercial and redistribution permissions, API or bulk-access conditions, automated-access restrictions, database rights, privacy implications, personal-data content, cross-border restrictions and attribution requirements. Sources may be classified GREEN, AMBER or RED for the intended use.

3.8 Disclosure through GSEIN Verification Controls

Retention, processing, review, approval or issuance of a GSEIN identifier does not automatically authorize disclosure through GSEIN verification.

Entity information may be disclosed only through GSEIN verification, and only when the approved disclosure status for the relevant source or jurisdiction is explicit, current and permits disclosure of the specific information shown.

GSEIN applies this separation through approved disclosure controls, including publication_allowed. Records are not eligible for disclosure when publication_allowed=false or unset, or when legal review remains unresolved or expired, unless a documented and specific decision authorizes the intended disclosure.

Where disclosure clearance is absent, the data remains in internal, staging or restricted environments and must remain unavailable to the public and excluded from GSEIN verification results.

3.9 Sole Proprietorships & Optional Disclosure

GSEIN may issue an identifier to a sole proprietorship or another entity whose legal identity is directly linked to a natural person when the applicable verification and issuance requirements are satisfied. Issuance does not, by itself, authorize disclosure of that entity's information through GSEIN verification.

Aggregated statistics

Sole proprietorships may be included in internal, non-identifying aggregated statistics where lawfully permitted. Such internal statistics do not authorize public disclosure and do not make the entity searchable, retrievable or visible outside an authorized GSEIN verification result.

Explicit consent required for individual disclosure

A sole proprietorship may appear in a GSEIN verification result only after an explicit, specific and verifiable request or consent from the proprietor or a duly authorized legal representative. The consent must clearly authorize disclosure of the specified entity information and must be recorded in an auditable manner, including its scope, date, and the identity or authority of the person providing it.

The proprietor may request that information disclosed solely on the basis of consent is no longer disclosed, subject to applicable law and GSEIN record-retention rules. Ending disclosure does not cancel the GSEIN or permit reassignment of the identifier.

Issuance of a GSEIN and disclosure through GSEIN verification are separate processes. Possession of a GSEIN does not, by itself, constitute consent to disclosure.

4. GSEIN Entity Identification Methodology

GSEIN provides a persistent global identifier and interoperability layer for legal and economic entities. The objective is to link, not replace, identifiers issued by national and competent authorities.

4.2 Processing stages

  1. Source assessment
  2. Intake with provenance preservation
  3. Normalization for interoperability
  4. Identity resolution
  5. Validation and verification
  6. Human or enhanced review where required
  7. Approval for further processing
  8. Issuance after issuance conditions are met
  9. Separate disclosure decision
  10. Maintenance from authoritative sources

4.3 Verification levels

Verification levels describe the strength, nature or recency of evidence supporting an entity record. They are not a credit score, risk rating, transaction recommendation, government certification, regulatory authorization or reputation assessment.

4.4–4.5 Conflicts and persistent identification

Where credible sources conflict on a material identity attribute, GSEIN may withhold issuance, suspend disclosure, mark a field unresolved, request evidence, escalate for review or defer to the competent national authority. A validly issued GSEIN is intended to remain associated with the same entity and not be reassigned to another entity.

5. Correction, Challenge & Record Review Policy

5.1 Right to raise a concern

An entity, authorized representative, competent authority, source provider or other affected party may notify GSEIN of potentially inaccurate, outdated, misleading, improperly disclosed or legally restricted information.

5.2 Types of requests

Requests may concern an incorrect legal name, legal form, jurisdiction, outdated entity status, incorrect official identifier, erroneous matching, inaccurate source attribution, inappropriate disclosure of personal information, licensing or intellectual-property concerns, or another material factual or legal issue.

5.3–5.8 Submission, review and auditability

GSEIN may verify the identity, role, authority or evidence of a requester. During review it may compare the request against the competent registry, consult another authoritative source, inspect historical provenance, request additional evidence, temporarily restrict a field or suspend disclosure. Material corrections should be recorded in an internal audit trail. GSEIN generally defers to competent authorities on official legal registration facts.

6. Legal Disclaimer

Unless expressly stated for a specific integration, GSEIN is not affiliated with, operated by, endorsed by, certified by or part of any national government, company registrar, regulatory authority, central bank, tax authority or international organization.

The assignment or display of a GSEIN identifier does not establish legal existence, create legal personality, constitute incorporation, replace a national registration number, verify regulatory authorization, establish ownership or beneficial ownership, determine sanctions status, constitute AML or KYC approval, constitute a credit decision or provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

Where GSEIN identifies an authoritative source, the competent authority remains the authoritative source for matters within its jurisdiction. Users requiring legally conclusive or transaction-critical information should verify the current position directly with that authority and obtain appropriate professional advice where necessary.
