This Payment Policy explains the payment terms applicable to services provided through the Global Standard Entity Identification Number (GSEIN) platform.
By completing payment after an application has been approved, the applicant acknowledges and agrees to this Payment Policy.
1. Service Fees
Fees for GSEIN services are determined according to the applicable entity classification and the service requested.
GSEIN fees are charged on a one-time basis according to the applicable entity classification. There are no subscription fees, recurring charges, annual renewal fees, or hidden platform fees associated with the issuance and continued validity of a GSEIN.
The applicable fee will be clearly displayed before payment is completed.
Current classifications, applicable fees, and any related service information are available under Fees & Classification.
GSEIN reserves the right to update its fees from time to time. Any fee change will apply only to transactions initiated after the updated fee becomes effective.
2. Payment Requirement
GSEIN does not request or collect any service fee before an application has been reviewed and approved.
After approval, the applicant is invited to pay the applicable one-time fee before issuance or completion of the relevant paid service.
Applications that are rejected, suspended, returned for correction, or placed under additional review before approval are not charged a service fee.
3. Accepted Payment Methods
Available payment methods may vary depending on the applicant's country, payment provider, transaction currency, and technical availability.
The payment methods currently supported by the platform will be displayed at checkout.
GSEIN may add, remove, suspend, or replace payment methods when necessary for operational, security, regulatory, or technical reasons.
4. Currency and Conversion
Fees are displayed in the currency indicated on the payment page.
Where a card issuer, bank, payment provider, or financial institution performs currency conversion, additional exchange-rate differences or conversion fees may apply.
Such charges are determined by the relevant financial institution or payment provider and are not controlled by GSEIN.
5. Payment Confirmation
A payment is considered completed only after GSEIN receives successful confirmation from the applicable payment provider.
After successful payment, the applicant may receive:
- an electronic payment confirmation;
- a transaction reference;
- an invoice or receipt, where applicable; and
- an updated application status.
The applicant should retain the payment confirmation for reference.
6. Failed or Incomplete Payments
If a payment is declined, cancelled, interrupted, or otherwise unsuccessful, the related service will not be considered paid.
The applicant may attempt payment again using an available payment method.
GSEIN is not responsible for payment failures caused by banks, card issuers, payment gateways, network interruptions, incorrect payment information, insufficient funds, or third-party payment restrictions.
7. Duplicate Payments
If an applicant believes that the same transaction has been charged more than once, the applicant should contact GSEIN and provide the relevant transaction references.
Confirmed duplicate or demonstrably erroneous charges will be reviewed and corrected as billing errors.
8. Payment Finality
Once payment is completed for an approved application, the service fee is final and non-refundable.
GSEIN does not offer refunds for completed service payments because payment is requested only after the application has been approved.
Duplicate or demonstrably erroneous charges are handled as billing corrections and do not constitute a refund policy.
9. Application Rejection
Application review and eligibility decisions are completed before payment is requested.
An application may be rejected, suspended, returned for correction, or placed under additional review where submitted information cannot be adequately verified or does not meet applicable GSEIN requirements.
If an application is rejected before approval, no service fee is charged.
10. Taxes and Third-Party Charges
Applicants are responsible for any taxes, banking charges, card charges, currency-conversion charges, or other third-party fees applicable to their transaction unless expressly stated otherwise.
11. Payment Security
Payments may be processed through authorized third-party payment service providers.
GSEIN does not require applicants to provide payment card credentials through unofficial channels.
Applicants should complete payments only through payment interfaces provided or linked directly by the official GSEIN platform.
12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Applicants should contact GSEIN regarding a payment concern before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute where reasonably possible.
Fraudulent, abusive, or unjustified payment disputes may result in temporary suspension of the related application while the transaction is investigated.
13. Invoices and Records
Payment records, invoices, receipts, and transaction references may be retained in accordance with applicable legal, accounting, security, and operational requirements.
Applicants are responsible for ensuring that the information provided for invoicing purposes is accurate.
14. Changes to This Policy
GSEIN may update this Payment Policy where necessary to reflect changes in services, payment providers, operational requirements, regulations, or platform functionality.
The current version will be published on the official GSEIN website together with its effective or last-updated date.
15. Contact
Questions concerning payments, invoices, duplicate transactions, or billing corrections may be submitted through the official GSEIN support or contact channels available on gsein.org.
